As the name suggests this tequila was produced to celebrate the new Millennium in 2000. Currently two of the on-line retailers still have this tequila listed for sale but if you're a collector I wouldn't wait too long to purchase a bottle considering the limited production and context in which Milenio was released. Also note that as of 08/2003 Hi-Time beats Liquorama's price on Milenio by 20 bucks.
The following description in English is from an insert in this products packaging: 1800 Edición del Nuevo Milenio is a tequila designed exclusively for the change of the Millennium. But it is not special only for that; this edition rested since 1997 in new French oak casks. There are only 300 casks with this tequila which is made from 100% tequiliana Weber blue agave, whose unequaled quality is backed by five generations of Tequila Masters. Tequila with a well-structured body and extreme mellowness, whose flavor reveals a rich succession of aromas of vanilla, different spices, and fine woods, which have been patiently added over time until achieving the harmonious balance that makes this tequila a truly unique experience. We take pleasure in congratulating you for being the owner of this work of art, an expression of our roots, made by Mexican craftsmen under careful supervision and whose content is worthy of being tasted during a celebration as special as the arrival of the new Millennium.
