"Ultra" is an Ultra-Premium offering from Clase Azul. The tequila is the passionate creation of Master Distiller, Sr. Arturo Lomeli and has apparently been aged in Sherry wood casks for at least 3 years. It is said to be a "sublime tasting experience". Ultra had it's official "Worldwide" Launch on February 26th, 2007 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Among many VIPs at this extremely prestigious event were the President of the CRT and the Governor of Los Cabos. Also present was a large number of Mexican National and International press.

The most striking thing about Ultra is the bottle itself. Described as a "Black Ceramic Carafe" that's adorned with Silver, Platinum and Gold in a collaborative effort of two well known, Mexican artists, León Fernandez and Tomas Saldivar. Over 40 hours of work is said to be put into each piece and only 100 bottles will be made. The final product is truly considered a unique work of art and is signed by both artists.

Of course with all this prestige, effort and very limited production, Ultra will come at a price. Clase Azul Ultra is slated to retail for approximately $1500.00 in the U.S. and around $1200.00 in Mexico. The first 12 bottles of Ultra were already purchased by the exclusive El Dorado Golf & Beach Club in Los Cabos.
