At first glance you might assume this tequila is a reposdado based on it's beautiful light golden color in the bottle. Indeed it is very light compared to most añejos and to the nose it is also very subtle yet the essence of the wood is present. However in the mouth there is no question you are drinking an añejo as the flavor of the wood floods the palate and though slightly bitter at first it quickly fades to a smooth and very pleasant finish. This tequila is produced at Tequila Orendain, an old and proud distillery. In fact the Don Eduardo Tequilas are named for Don Eduardo Orendain and the label is now represented on the New Tequila Orendain website : www.tequila-orendain.com. The Don Eduardo U.S. importer, Brown-Forman does have a page devoted to this tequila at, http://www.brown-forman.com/products/don_eduardo.htm .
