I can't really tell you anything about Don Valente Añejo but Harry Reifschneider provided me with a little information and said that considering this tequila is relatively inexpensive, it's actually "quite good". He also pointed out that Don Valente Añejo is "very drinkable and reasonably priced in the $20s (USD)" and makes it "a nice alternative to buying a bottle of better known añejo that has gone to mixto. I think that people need to know that there are some good 100% agaves out there that are not that expensive."

I couldn't agree more and some of my favorite experiences with tequila have been ones where I felt I was getting a bargain.

Mr. Reifschneider lives in Mexico and to my knowledge this añejo has not yet made it to the United States. I did recently notice Don Valente Reposado listed for sale at Mission Liquors so maybe this aged version will soon follow.
