Harry purchased this bottle direct from the La Cofradia factory in Tequila when it was a just being produced as a brand new product in the summer of 2003. He pointed out that "the label stated, "IMPORTED" 100% Blue Agave and 40% alc." In fact the bottle even listed the US importer, so Don Viejo was obviously intended to be sold in the USA. Another tequila fan just recently contacted me (summer 2004) to inform me that Don Viejo was now available in his region in both añejo and reposado versions. He also claimed they were both excellent and very reasonably priced at about 30 and 35 dollars. I haven't seen them at the on-line retailers yet but at least we know it's here and hopefully we'll see more of Don Viejo soon.
