Del Dueño - Jerezito - Sherry Wood Finish, is an interesting and attractively labeled product. When I first listed this tequila the definition of the name "Jerezito" was lost on me. Not long afterwards a tequila fan pointed out that the name was a reference to the city of Jerez in Spain, a region famous for it's Sherry bodegas. In fact Sherry can only be made in the area located between Jerez de la Frontera ,Puerto de Santa María and Sanlúcar de Barrameda in the Spanish province of Cádiz. It now makes perfectly good sense as the Jerezito label explains that during maturation this tequila is transferred from traditional oak barrels to an original sherry oak cask where it completes it's ageing process.
