In March of 2006, while in Tequila with a large group I was able to meet with the importers of Tequila Fina Estampa. It was here I got my first taste of this excellent tequila añejo. I was also introduced to the Tequilero from the "La Franciscana" factory who crafts the great Fina Estampa tequilas. Needless to say he is extremely proud of the tequila and his process. Fina Estampa is working hard on distribution in areas all over the USA. We're fortunate here in Colorado to have all three varieties of the tequila well represented in local stores and restaurants. When Fina Estampa Reposado was originally introduced it quickly received accolades from a number of industry entities including a 4 star rating from Paul Pacult of Spirit Journal. Later the Blanco hit the market with similar glowing reviews and now the family is rounded out by the release of Fina Estampa Añejo. It's an extremely smooth and drinkable aged tequila that would rival many in the market costing much more. I expect the positive reviews to fall on this Añejo just as it has for it's Blanco and Reposado cousins.
