This is the highly publicized and much talked about Pasión Azteca from Tequila Ley .925. The first bottle pictured is the glass version with the smallest, albeit still very significant price tag. They are stunning to look at no doubt, and reportedly contain a 4 year añejo. The next step up is the predominantly silver vessel with gold accents also containing the 4 year tequila. The next two Gold/Platinum and Platinum bottles contain a 6 year tequila añejo and step up even more in price. Use the links at the left of the picture to see each version. I believe it is one of the Platinum, 6 year versions that was sold to a private collector and billed as "The Worlds most Expensive Bottle of Tequila". I'm sure the tequila in these precious bottles is top notch but let's face it, most of us will never really know. These limited edition bottles of tequila would primarily be considered pieces of art intended for ultra-rich art and/or tequila collectors. At these prices the tequila inside is somewhat incidental.
You can get a lot more info about Pasión Azteca at the Ley .925 web site, including prices for these ultra-ultra-premium bottles.
