I've read information that suggests this tequila is the result of a old family formula executed by a Mrs. Xochitl Reyneso. Apparently this was done with some cooperation with the Nuñez family who I'm sure still controls the El Viejito factory. This 2 year añejo has been rated very high by some reviewers.
