Interesting product from Fabrica de Tequilas Finos. Mr. Chae supplied me with this picture and a very positive review of this ultra aged tequila. The square, ceramic bottles we're accustomed to seeing Tonala in, do or did contain a two year añejo but this Single Barrel, "Suprema Reserva" has apparently doubled this time in the wood to 4 years. Steve was also kind enough to pass along the marketing blurb from the hang tag which reads as follows:

"Tonala Suprema Reserva 100% Agave is single barrel aged for a minimum of 4 years in sherry wood and small oak bourbon barrels. Tonala is now available in 2 packages, one with handblown glass and 2 handblown shot glasses encased within the bottle, making it the perfect gift or package for anyone's bar. The tequila is lush and complex with a hint of sherry wood, tropical fruit and spice. Tonala Suprema Reserva is made from hand selected Agave plants, Tequiliana Weber, 100% estate grown in the region of Jalisco, Mexico. This is the ultimate tequila, smoother than a fine cognac or single batch bourbon!! Enjoy!

Steve's bottle pictured above is the version with 2 shot glasses inside as described in the hangtag. Hi-Time lists both versions. Without the shot glasses for $46.99 and with, for $73.98 (Mission has them also for a couple bucks more a piece). Steve mentioned that his wife picked up this bottle at a Cosco in California for 55 bucks, so if you're in the Golden State you might check that out.
