Herradura "Silver" is the U.S. equivalent of the "Blanco Suave" that's sold in Mexico as seen on the previous page. In deed the phrase "Blanco Suave" is used on the label below the "Silver" designation. Suave (smooth) eludes to the fact that this blanco has actually been rested briefly but not long enough to be considered reposado. The back label of Herradura Silver boasts "Aged 40 Days" in bold type. This tequila is definitely smoother than it's pure blanco cousin. It has good agave flavor and is sweet to the nose and mouth. Though the alcohol is present it's smoothness prevails. If you're new to blancos this is a great place to start and everyone should give this classic a try.
