When Porfidio was introduced in the early 90's they were the only company to market two different 100% agave blancos under the same label. The bottle above contained the Porfidio Silver which was discontinued in 1996. The other product is the ultra-premium Triple Distilled Plata. The Porfidio Silver was a quality blanco. I am glad I got a chance to properly taste it before my wife found out that it made a superb Tequila Sunrise. Sadly it now joins the ranks of my many empty tequila bottles.

The original Porfidio line had four tequilas. Porfidio Silver, Porfidio Triple Distilled Plata, Porfidio Añejo (Aged two years) and Porfidio Single barrel Añejo. The Reposado in the blue ceramic bottles followed later as well as the ultra-premium tequila añejo, Porfidio Barrique. Porfidio has stream lined it's products back down to four tequilas. The "Single Barrel Añejo", " Triple Distilled Plata", "Small Batch Reposado and Barrique.
