( 07/15/2002 ) According to the 1921 web site this reposado has apparently spent 4 months in specially selected 200 liter barrels. Consistent with this relatively short resting period the tequila is very pale and almost colorless in the glass. This is a very good tequila with a clean floral nose. In the mouth it does have an initial light alcohol attack which quickly mellows to smooth floral and agave tones with a slightly sweet finish. I was able to visit both Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta within the last 10 months and 1921 was well represented in both areas. While it is not being sold in the U.S. at the moment the current 1921 web site does have a page devoted to it's availability around the globe even though for now it only lists Mexico. This at least implies that this company has plans to export this label again in the future.
Update 01/2003: 1921 is available again and the sellers above have it in stock.
