A & B Imports LLC

NEWS 05/08/2008- Buscadores Tequila has a new Importer based in Baytown Texas. The link above points to the old (2002) website created by the prior importer but it does look like some of the information has been updated. A & B Imports LLC is the new importer of Buscadores and expect to have solid distribution in most States. Apparently other than the new ownership everything else is still the same. The tequila is still being produced by the Vivanco family at the same factory. This is good news as Buscadores was, and I'm sure still is, a very enjoyable tequila. I'll look forward to drinking it again!

Below are my thoughts from a few years ago on the original products.

A new 100% agave entry into the market is Buscadores. Third Coast Imports appears to be based in San Antonio and Texas is primarily where Buscadores has been marketed for the time being. Fortunately for me, however Buscadores began to show up in Colorado early in 2003 and will hopefully be headed your way in the future. Apparently this tequila is being produced at a new factory in Jalisco by the Vivanco family who had long been Agave growers but recently decided to produce tequila of their own. You can read more about the Vivanco family, the importer and this tequila at the well done
Buscadores web-site.

The Buscadores web-site claims this reposado has been rested 12 months. We'll assume the tequila was actually in the wood for just under that to be classified as reposado. Considering this relatively long period of ageing the tequila has a nice light color and good agave taste. This enjoyable tequila is a pleasure to sip and seems to be competitively priced at $38.00 USD.
