Mr. Chauvet, a well traveled tequila enthusiast, stated that he first tried Clase Azul at the Feria del Tequila, in the town of Tequila and has consumed numerous bottles since. With an admitted preference to tequila añejo that's a glowing endorsement for this reposado.
A few years ago I first got my first look at these fabulous, artisan vessels of Clase Azul on a visit to La Cofradía where the brand was origionally produced. It's now produced at Productos Finos de Agave. The Sole Importer, Tequilas Premium, Inc. is very proud of this popular 8 month reposado and it's recent awards and accolades; Gold Medals from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the Beverage Testing Institute of Chicago. As well Anthony Dias Blue gave us a 92 rating and featured us in the May issue of Pattersons.
