Marquez de Valencia is a wonderfully elegant example of a classically styled reposado. Light in color, a cool, velvety texture and smoothness with hints of vanilla and pepper. Slightly sweet and delectable with a lingering finish. I'm sure that if the brand is successful a Blanco and Añejo will follow but I love the fact that it's initially available, only in this delightful reposado. It is unusual these days to see a company go this direction with only one variety but I think it adds validity to the individual spirit. It appears the focus was to get this tequila right and not a possible after thought to complete a tequila family as we see so often. I love the understated elegance of the simple wine-style bottle and presentation as well. It goes perfectly with the style of the spirit inside. I really do like this tequila a lot and will consider it a treat every time I get the chance to drink it.
