According to Bob Emmon's "Book of Tequila" this company, located near Arandas, began production in 1996. The lower NOM confirms that this factory was around when this designation began to be required on tequila labels. Adam purchased this bottle of "highlands" tequila at the 2005 Tijuana Tequila Expo and was nice enough to send me a 250 ml bottle. Though the picture above makes the tequila color look a little dark, it's actually quite light in both color and wood. This and the slightly lower 35% alcohol content make this a pleasantly smooth and drinkable tequila.
