Adam McMahan's wife has family in Guadalajara and last year they spent some time there touring areas of Jalisco and Guanajuato. Here are Adam's remarks about his purchase of this Montesinos tequila reposado. "I met a guy at one of those La Divina chain liquor stores in Leon (Guanajuato) that works for them. He had actually lived in San Diego for eleven years and spoke english. He suggested I try a bottle so I picked one up for about $17 bucks. The distillery is the same one in Amatitan whose only other brand is Regional ( a favorite of Sarai's family and a well respected brand down there.) He said they are building their own distillery in Jesus Maria and right now they use half Los Altos agaves and half Tequila area agaves.
