My wife and I purchased this bottle in San Diego in the summer of 2000. I believe this reposado was marketed for some time before it was followed by a blanco and añejo. Then, like so many other brands Oro Azul became less and less visible until earlier this year (January 2003) It was brought to my attention by an aficionado in Wisconsin that Oro Azul was being re-launched by a new importer and the blanco, reposado, and añejo versions were all available in his region. Sure enough Oro Azul does seem to have a new importer by the name of Barrel Select Importers out of Wisconsin as well as a nice new website at: oroazultequila.com. Recently Oro Azul finaly showed up in the Denver area. The tequila is still produced at Agave Tequilana as it has been since 1996.
