San Diego resident and fellow tequila aficionado, Adam McMahan, purchased this bottle of "Suave Patria" Reposado in Tijuana. The tequila is produced by the same factory that brought us Tequila Lapis, the U.S. version of Tequileña's 100% agave label and Pura Sangre that was previously only available in Mexico. Though the standard varieties of Pura Sangre are beginning to show up in some U.S. markets, Suave Patria, has not. An añejo version may have been imported here at one time by a company out of Wisconsin but I've never seen it. I've not run across this tequila on any of my excursions (as far as I can remember) and therefore could not elaborate on it. I have however, read positive reviews in print and Adam stated that Suave Patria Reposado is very pleasant with strong agave flavor and a smooth finish. |
